Somfy programming
Somfy shade remote programming help in Phoenix, AZ.
Somfy exterior screens, patio shades, exterior roller shades, and awnings can use RTS remotes, channels, wall controls, wired controls, myLink, TaHoma, and other smart-home integrations. This guide covers the common ideas customers run into when pairing controls or troubleshooting a product.
Reset and reprogramming warning
Stop if the shade binds, moves unexpectedly, runs past expected limits, or if you cannot identify the motor or control type. Factory resets or memory resets can remove the shade from existing remotes, hubs, schedules, smart-home systems, and integrations. Only reset if you are prepared to reconnect everything afterward.
Somfy models and controls vary. Use the exact Somfy manual for the installed motor, remote, wall switch, sensor, or hub before changing programming.
RTS remotes and channels
Somfy RTS systems commonly use handheld or wall controls with one or more channels. Before adding anything, identify which remote and channel already moves the shade.
The shade jog
Somfy instructions often use a brief up-and-down movement called a jog to confirm that the motor has entered or accepted a programming step.
Limits and favorite positions
Upper, lower, and favorite positions affect how far the shade travels. Limit changes should be handled carefully so the shade does not overrun, bind, or lose a known good position.
Somfy RTS Service
Somfy RTS help for exterior shade systems
High Noon Shades helps troubleshoot Somfy RTS remote programming, myLink setup, TaHoma integrations, channel copying, limit issues, wind sensors, and sun sensors for Phoenix exterior shades, screen shades, and retractable awnings.
If the shade still responds from any remote, wall switch, hub, or schedule, preserve that working control before attempting a reset.
Detailed Somfy guides
Choose the motor type before following instructions
These deeper guides are scoped to exterior screens, exterior shades, and awnings. They are not meant for smaller interior motors, battery interior shades, drapery motors, or interior roller shade workflows.
Common Somfy workflow
Start from the control that already works.
Most Somfy RTS programming starts by confirming the shade operates from at least one existing RTS control. From there, the right channel can be selected, the motor can be placed into programming mode, and a new control or app interface can be added.
Somfy myLink can add RTS channels for app control, but it is not the right tool for every task. Somfy notes that myLink does not set limits or add and delete RTS transmitters, so some issues still require the physical remote or motor access.

When to call
Somfy systems are easiest to fix before they are fully reset.
Full reprogramming, hard resets, or transmitter deletion can make a working hub or schedule disappear from the system. If the shade still partially responds, preserve that information and contact us before wiping the memory.
